Erica Wagner, Director
Erica Wagner has been a member of Creatd's board of directors since November 2022, and previously held the role of Lead Editorial Innovator. Erica's career spans over 25 years as an esteemed author, critic, broadcaster, and podcaster. Born in New York and now living in London, Erica's most recent book is Mary and Mr Eliot: A Sort-of Love Story, praised in the Sunday Times as ‘forensically astute’ (Faber and Faber/FSG, 2022/2023). Chief Engineer: Washington Roebling, The Man Who Built the Brooklyn Bridge was published in 2017 (Bloomsbury) and was the winner of the Eccles Centre and Hay Festival Writers’ Award. She is the editor of First Light: A Celebration of Alan Garner (Unbound) as well as a novel, Seizure and a book of short stories, Gravity.
Previously, Erica was the Literary Editor of the London Times for seventeen years and is a contributing writer for the New Statesman and consulting literary editor for Harper’s Bazaar. She is a frequent broadcaster and a skilled chair of literary and cultural events. For CHANEL, Erica is the host of a literary podcast, ‘The Literary Rendezvous at Rue Cambon’: her guests have included Ingrid Persaud, Lisa Taddeo, Jocelyn Nicole Johnson and Maddie Mortimer. She has twice been a judge of the Booker Prize and has been judge and Chair of the Goldsmiths Prize. In 2015, Erica was awarded an Honorary PhD by the University of East Anglia, and is now Goldsmiths Distinguished Writers’ Centre Fellow.
